(These are the most common concerns that I see in practice, though they are in no way the only thing I see. )
Scenario 1: exhausted
Your energy level sucks. It’s a struggle to get through the day. You go to bed tired. You wake up tired. Coffee may have become a major food group in your life. You get zero satisfaction from your job.
Scenario 2: exhausted + heavy periods
You wake up tired. Again. How were my lab results normal? Feeling like this isn’t normal! You grab some coffee and head out to work. You’re on day 2 of your period and you’re stressed about whether or not you can get to a bathroom in time to change your menstrual product before you bleed through. Does everyone have to change their tampon this often?! Thankfully you have an extra pair of pants at work for just such an emergency… but jeez, this can’t be normal can it?
Scenario 3: painful periods
You’re at work and you feel a sharp pain in your lower abdomen. Crap, your period is coming. You realize you’re out of pain reliever, better stop at the store on the way home to get more. Jeez, these cramps are awful. I don’t want to go on the pill to manage them but what other option do I have?! Thankfully I’m not like my friend, Alice - she can’t even get in to work because her cramps are so bad! Maybe this is normal?
Scenario 4: PMS/PMDD + mood concerns
I don’t even recognize who I turn into around my period. My friends say they get bloated and a bit moody but I look like I’m pregnant I’m so bloated and my anxiety and depression get really bad - I have a hard time functioning. It can be really scary because I have no idea what is going on/why this is happening?! It’s impacting my work, my relationships…I don’t know what to do. I need help.

I live outside of Ontario, can I work with you?
Unfortunately I am only able to work directly with residents of Ontario.

Are your services covered under OHIP?
Naturopathic services (this includes appointments, recommended lab testing & supplements) are not covered by OHIP. Many extended health insurance programs do offer coverage for Naturopathic services, though this varies between providers & plans. Talk to your provider to learn more about your coverage!
